Penko Park is an adventure exploration game in which the player takes on the role of someone exploring an abandoned wildlife park. The game features various puzzles and other challenges, but it is largely an exploration game in which the player collects details and pictures of the park’s unusual creatures.

Penko Park features an array of strange animals to encounter, much like Pokemon Crystal Clear, but the gameplay is more relaxed like The Witness. It features a hand-drawn art style combined with a 3D world. The animals can be a little weird, but the tone is not particularly scary.

The player assumes the role of a faceless protagonist who explores a long-abandoned wildlife park. They must go around collecting information and pictures of the wildlife in the park.
